Some WooCommerce stores sell things that are hard to buy without talking first. A tailoring workshop sells made-to-measure suits online but needs a fitting; a kitchen showroom sells worktops but wants a design consultation. Those appointments are usually arranged by email, back and forth, until someone gives up.
AI SmartTalk adds SmartCalendar to your store. You set weekly opening hours and the length of each slot; the agent reads a request like “next Tuesday after work”, offers the five nearest free slots and books the one the customer chooses, in person, by phone or online. Customers who prefer to pick on their own can use a booking page that the plugin places on any WordPress page with a shortcode or an Elementor widget.

Install and connect the plugin
Download the plugin ZIP from your AI SmartTalk dashboard, upload and activate it in Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, click Connect with AI SmartTalk and enable the chatbot.

Create your calendar
In SmartCalendar, create a calendar with its time zone and allowed meeting types, then add a weekly schedule: the days, the opening hours and the slot length, for example 45 minutes.

Connect Google Meet if you meet online
For online consultations, connect the Google Meet integration so that each online booking gets a Meet link on your Google Calendar.

Place the [smartcalendar] shortcode or the Elementor widget on a “Book a fitting” page, tell the agent in its instructions when to offer an appointment, then book a test slot from the chat.
Honest limits
What it does not do
SmartCalendar sends confirmation and cancellation emails, but no reminders before the appointment. Free slots come from the schedule you set in SmartCalendar; busy times in your Google Calendar are not taken into account. Each slot holds one appointment, so group classes are not handled, and a customer can have only one upcoming appointment at a time. Booking in the chat requires a confirmed email address. SmartCalendar is an add-on billed per calendar.
Frequently asked questions
Can customers book without using the chat?
Yes. The [smartcalendar] shortcode or the Elementor widget shows a booking page on your site, where customers choose a slot and enter their name and email.
Does it sync with my Google Calendar?
Online bookings create an event with a Meet link on your Google Calendar when Google Meet is connected. The other direction does not exist: events you add in Google Calendar do not block SmartCalendar slots.
How do customers cancel?
From the appointment page linked in their confirmation email. You and the customer both receive a cancellation email, and the slot becomes free again.
Can I sell the appointment as a WooCommerce product?
No. SmartCalendar books the meeting; it does not create a WooCommerce order or take a payment. Sell the product as usual and use the appointment for the fitting or consultation.
