From an ad comment to the right product
When people see a product on your Facebook Page or in an ad, the follow-up question often comes by Messenger: "is this available in other colours?", "what do you have for a small balcony?". AI SmartTalk answers it from the catalog you have synced from Shopify, PrestaShop or WooCommerce, using the same product search as your website chat.
Messenger can display rich content, so recommendations arrive as a native carousel: a short explanation first, then up to ten cards, each with the product image, its name, a short description and a button that opens the product page. The agent keeps the shopper's criteria — size, colour, budget — and checks stock on the exact variant, so it does not suggest something that cannot be bought.
What the agent does
Native Messenger carousels
Suggestions are sent as a Messenger carousel of up to ten cards, each with image, title, subtitle and a button to the product page, right after the text answer.
Searches your real catalog
Products, variants, prices and stock come from your Shopify, PrestaShop or WooCommerce sync, the same data your website chat uses.
Keeps every criterion
Type, size, colour, material and budget are applied as filters on variants. If your data cannot confirm a criterion, the agent says so.
Narrows down in conversation
Follow-up questions — "which is the lightest?", "does the green one come in L?" — are answered from the details of the shortlisted products.
Understands photos
A shopper can send a photo of what they like; the agent gets a description of it and can search for similar items in your catalog.
Set it up
- 1
Sync your catalog
Connect your store to AI SmartTalk — the Shopify app, the PrestaShop module or the WordPress plugin for WooCommerce — so products reach the agent.
- 2
Connect your Facebook Page
Open Integrations → Messenger, log in with Facebook and select the Page where shoppers write to you.
- 3
Add your selling points
Put size guides, materials and comparisons in the knowledge base, and tell the agent how to present products and how many to suggest.
- 4
Test the carousel
Message your Page from a personal account with a precise request, and check that the cards show the right products and open the right pages.
Honest limits
What it does not do
The agent needs a catalog synced from a connected shop; it does not use a Facebook Shop or a Meta Commerce Manager catalog. The shopper buys on your website — there is no checkout or cart inside Messenger. A carousel holds at most ten products, and answers must be sent within Messenger's 24-hour window, so the agent cannot follow up later with new products or price drops.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Facebook Shop?
No. Recommendations come from the catalog synced to AI SmartTalk from Shopify, PrestaShop or WooCommerce.
What does a product card show?
The product image, its name, a short subtitle such as the price, and a button that opens the product page on your site.
Is the carousel the same on Instagram?
Instagram uses the same card format but shows at most three cards per answer and shorter texts.
Which plan do I need?
Any AI SmartTalk plan, from €9.90 per month with a 30-day free trial; a large catalog may need a plan that allows more documents.
