Quick replies were only half a solution
The WhatsApp Business app lets you save quick replies, but someone still has to read each message, pick the right one and send it. AI SmartTalk removes that step. The agent reads the question, finds the answer in your FAQ entries, website pages and documents, and replies in seconds, at night and at weekends included.
Customers do not need to phrase it your way. "you open sunday?", a voice note asking about parking, or a question in Portuguese are matched to the right answer by meaning and answered in the customer's language. When the FAQ has nothing on the subject, the agent says so and, if you allow it, offers a person. You maintain one FAQ in AI SmartTalk, and it serves WhatsApp, your website and your other channels together.
What the agent does
Answers by meaning
Questions are matched to your FAQ by meaning, so typos, slang and rephrasing still reach the right answer.
Voice questions included
Voice notes are transcribed and answered like typed messages — useful for customers who ask while driving or walking.
Any language, one FAQ
Write your FAQ once; the agent replies in the language of each customer's latest message.
Build the FAQ from what you have
Add entries one by one, upload a spreadsheet with columns headed "question" and "answer", or extract question-and-answer pairs from a PDF such as your terms of sale.
Knows its limits
When nothing in the knowledge base covers a question, the agent does not make up an answer; with handoff on, it brings in your team.
Set it up
- 1
Collect your frequent questions
Scroll through your WhatsApp chats and quick replies and list the questions that come back every week, with your best answer to each.
- 2
Add them to the knowledge base
Enter them as FAQ entries, upload a spreadsheet, or extract them from your existing documents, and add your website so the agent has the wider context.
- 3
Connect WhatsApp
In Integrations → WhatsApp, click Connect WhatsApp, complete Meta's signup and select your number.
- 4
Test with real phrasing
Ask your questions the way customers write them — short, misspelt, by voice — and refine any answer that misses.
Honest limits
What it does not do
The agent answers only when a customer writes, within WhatsApp's 24-hour window; it cannot broadcast an FAQ update or a closing notice to your contacts. Answers are plain text with WhatsApp formatting, without images or buttons, and are limited to 4,096 characters. Missed-question feedback buttons belong to the website chat, so on WhatsApp you spot gaps by reading conversations in the inbox.
Frequently asked questions
Does it replace WhatsApp Business quick replies?
It goes further: instead of you choosing a saved reply, the agent picks the answer and sends it. Your quick replies make a good starting list for the FAQ.
What if my FAQ changes, for example for the holidays?
Edit the entry in AI SmartTalk and the next answer uses the new version, on WhatsApp and on every other connected channel.
Can it answer in languages I don't speak?
Yes. The agent replies in the customer's language even if your FAQ is written only in English or French.
How much does it cost?
AI SmartTalk plans start at €9.90 per month with AI included within the plan's monthly allowance of AI words, and there is a 30-day free trial.
